LARRY V. Date 10/19/2009: Man the weather finally broke... Felt good to take the T-tops off run thru the gears at 5-G's letting that cold air slap you in the face. Got the stink eye from a state trooper but he didn't pull me over...lol The Benzo show was a good first show - had all the makings of a do over. Lots of great cars good car people steady foot flow throughout the day. Scott kept us all entertained as always good job man. Jack and crew ran another good show everyone had a good time IMO. Thanks Mercedes-Benz Ft. Laud for hosting the show there show-room is something else.... a must visit. Want to post a MIA anyone know where's "John Hardnose" is located....??? my-2 Name: R.J. Dave "webhead" Weber Date 10/18/2009: As they say, I'm baaaaaack! After missing a few shows and cruise nights due to travel, it felt great to be back and in attendance at one of "Jumpin Jack's" car shows once again. Today's show at Ft. Lauderdale Mercedes Benz was a relaxing show. Some cars I've never seen before were there, along with the regulars. It amazes me where the cars and trucks come from. There must have been 10 or so cars I have never seen before. Keep coming out to show your cars and trucks, they are truly unique. The management at the dealership was top notch to say the least. They kept walking the show and commenting on how great the cars and trucks were. I know they had a difficult time trying to decide on the "Best of Show" picks. The weather was very pleasant, cool and sunny most of the day with a strong steady breeze. It was nice not to be sweating and dripping on everything. Scott the DJ spun some cool music today, but that is what we expect from Scott. He never lets us down does he? Jumpin Jack and the "green team" was on top of their game today. One of the smoothest shows I've worked. Thanks to all for helping us launch another "NEW" show, without you we would not be growing in the South Florida car show scene. Next weekend is another New show, help us make that show a success also. Say a prayer for our troops, and please bring them home safe and sound. webhead |

John Abraham Comments: Hey Scott. Just wanted to commend you on an excellent job of music at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's car show this weekend and the promptness of your picture posting. The day was outstanding, the food plentiful, the cars awesome and the people very friendly. I and my buddy Brian (yellow flamed out SSR) were fortunate enough to take a people's choice award which made us both feel pretty good, considering our vehicles are of the somewhat newer variety and not loved by some of the classic car guys. Only one comment and that is regardless of the type of vehicle we have, we all share the same love of our cars and that is what makes us all the same but unique as well.. Another great job.. Thanks Name: paul & eileen maronna Comments: scott . thanks for posting photos so quickly. yes the show was great. WAAAY to hot though! but great just the same. john staluppi is quite the host. thanks to all paul & eileen maronna

Because of the great turnout (197 vehicles)... the casino emailed me tonight about a date for a spring show. I am working on that spring date today. The support that I have received thru the large turnout makes my job easier. I say it again... the "free" shows that I do are for all the car people who come out and support my "pay" shows. The "free" shows are my giving back to you, the car community. So again thank you, and hope to see everyone at the Ft.Lauderdale Mercedes-Benz open show Oct 18th, and Promenade shopping center open car show Oct 25th. Thank you! Dave "webhead" Weber, Location: Pembroke Pines, FL Comments: Lefty's was a blast to say the least. The food was great, the a/c was cold, the show cars/trucks were awesome, and the weather was HOT. Scott the DJ did his normal superb job of taking us back into our childhood with some fantastic music. I can't believe I remember that far back. Thanks Scott. Jack and crew never wilted, even with the heat. The quality of cars was top shelf, some I've never seen before. The Corvette clubs came out in support, thanks for that. The food was very good, as were the soft drinks. Thanks to Lefty's for hosting the show, I hope they run another show in the near future. See you all at the FREE Seminole show this weekend. Name:

The front end design and fenders are from the early 50'shevy truck. The frame is from a modern trailblazer and was reduced. The retractable top was added to the hot rod look and was produced by Karmann USA and GM.The SSR is a modern interpretation of nostalgic styling with modern engineering and safety. The 05 and 06 come with a 6.0l aluminum LS-2 engine. Hope that more people will understand that the SSR is new but came from the old fifties fat fender look . I have changed the look even more with the rims and paint. This tuck will become one of the most wanted in the years to come. Thanks |

This probably should go in the forum, and I will post there as well, but I have been wondering whatever happened to the good ole CLASSIC Car Shows that we had in South Florida. Cars 25-30 years old and older. I hear others talking about the disappearance of these shows as well, but no one seems to have an answer, other than the show promoters we all love are going for quantity rather than just quality. I could go on, but I just wanted to bring out this issue in the hope that one of the promoters might have an interest in bringing back the good ole fashioned classic car show.

"webhead" Dave Weber Comments: Happy Monday to All! This past Sunday's Goldfinger Show was one of the nicest shows I've attended/worked in a long time. Sure we missed DJ Scott and his flavor, but his replacement did a very nice job of filling his shoes. We showed 80+ cars and trucks, not bad for the threat of rain --- and it did rain for a short period of time. The food was superb, the new restaurant around the corner opened for us even though it is not "officially" scheduled to open until July 1st. They provided the food for lunch at Goldfinger's, and those that took advantage of it got a great meal. No I did not go back for seconds, that was for ice cream. Thanks to all for attending, it was a hoot. Hope to see you all at Jumpin Jack's next show in Miami Springs on Friday the 3rd of July. Did I mention it is a FREE show. So, from the "green team", see you at the next show. "webhead" Name: Soupy Comments: Chalk up another win for Jumpin' Jack, his help & all of the great people from Goldfinger's for making Sunday's Show another Best of the Best for 2009. The rain came at a good time as it helped cool off the weather some, and gave many of us the chance to wipe and dry our cars. Thanks to all that put this show together, and to Eugene for filling in with the music. Soupy Name: lex,
Show: citi centre May 31 Comments: From the looks of the photos just posted, if you were not on the center of the mall, you were not at the show at all. Otherwise a good show for all the right reasons. Name: "Webhead" Dave Weber,
Location: Paradise, U.S,A, Comments: Sunday's show at Petersons Harley was a gas to say the least. Jumpin Jack filled the lot with some great looking iron. The Harley's out front commanded a long, hard look into some fantastic rides. DJ Scott cranked up some new and some old music to please everyone in the crowd. The BBQ was good even if the line never seemed to move. Small price to pay for good food I guess. Another show that produced some vehicles that don't usually make the rounds of car shows or cruise nights. The judging was especially hard because of the quality of cars in the field, kudos to all in attendance. It is amazing to see a car or truck progress from show to show, a little more detail here, a little more there, until the owner is rewarded with a trophy. That is what the sport needs, more vehicles to come out and be willling to take constructive advice from judges and other car nuts on how to improve his or her ride. Thanks to all for another great show. Looking forward to seeing a huge turnout for the Gold Finger show, brought to you by Jumpin Jack and the green machine crew. Say a prayer for our troops, past and present. "Webhead" Name: Soupy Comments: Russ / Glen / Scott and all of the others responsible for Saturday's show at the Mall... EXCELLENT job yet again. Well run and organized, and best of all, the weather, although freakin' hot, was great too. Any show with no rain fron the time I leave the garage to the time I return is always that much better. Thanks to the Mall for a very decent 1st show. I hope the next one though, has us in a better spot for more Mall traffic, like near one of the main entrances. Soupy |

Jumpin Jack Productions Comments: I want to again thank the classic car community for the amount of cars that showed up for the "Seminole casino Hollywood" car show... 117 plus cars in the rain was an amazing turn out. Again, thank you for your support, and see you at the next car show! Jumpin Jack |

Seminole Casino Hollywood show today (Sunday) was another "first show" for Jumpin Jack Productions. The weather was cooperative at the start of the show and provided all with a tremendous sound and light show during the middle stages, only to end the day with great weather. The rain came fast and furious for about 1 hour before giving way to sunshine. Only in Paradise! DJ Scott kept everyone happy with the music as he always does. There were a few new and exciting cars/trucks to check out at this FREE show, along with the regulars that make the car show scene such a wonderful event for the whole family to enjoy. Jack's "jolly green" crew tried to keep everyone happy and hopefully did so. The Casino staff, security, and maintenance people worked on making it fun for all - and they let us gamble too. Hope to see all of you at the next Jumpin Jack Productions car show. We would not have one without you.

"Webhead" Dave Weber, Location: Pembroke Pines, FL Comments: The Seminole Coconut Creek Casino show was a HUGE success this past Sunday. 230 plus cars and trucks graced us with their presence. The casino management, janitorial and security crew were everpresent during the show. Jumpin Jack and his band of regulars (in the pretty green shirts) did a superb job in directing and judging. Scott the DJ had to raise the bar once again, with such a large area to reach out to Scott more than covered it with ease. How about those trophies! Not only were they good looking but they were heavy to boot. The only sad part was that only 100 cars received trophies and many more were deserving. I can't wait for the Hollywood Seminole Casino show in a few short weeks. Let's try for 300 cars! This was by far the friendliest show I have ever attended and/or worked at in my 7 years here in Florida. Thanks to all who made our job so easy and enjoyable. Dave "Webhead" Weber Comments: Scott, Would you be kind enough to post this. Not only for myself but also for the other car lovers (nuts) out there. My passion is cars, I love to wash and wax them, to drive them, and to travel to car shows or cruise nights to display them. While at these shows or cruise nights I love mingling with the other "nuts" and talking about anything from nuts to bolts and everything in between. I also help Jumpin Jack when asked. I park cars or judge them or do both, not for money but for the love of being around cars. I have noticed a sharp decline in respect for others in our car show community. Too much bickering and complaining about trivial things. I have to park where! I can't do this! I can't do that! You want me to do this or that or go where! Why can't we all just get along and enjoy our short time together with friends, or on earth for that matter. I like and enjoy everyone at every show I attend, we are all friends because of our passion with our cars. I won't go to your show because!! I try to go to every show that I am able to attend, not nearly enough but I try anyway. Why can't we all just get along? No offense intended, just an appeal to all of us, myself included. Thank you |

Webhead, Location: Pembroke Pines, FL Comments: Another beautiful day in Paradise here at Maroone Chevrolet in Pembroke Pines. Over 100+ cars jammed the parking lot Sunday for the Maroone show staged by the exciting and talented Jumpin Jack himself, the sales staff at Maroone, Jack's helpers, and the one and only Scott the DJ. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm with a cooling breeze. The car owners were busy putting the final details on their rides, finding a spot in the shade and enjoying each others company. The show was organized, and the spectators got an eyefull of how hard these people work to make their cars spotless and beautiful for all to enjoy. Thanks to all for a nice show, hope to see you all at the next Jumpin Jack show on Sunday, May 3rd. How about those nice new green shirts that the event staff wore. No more hiding for the staff, now we have to earn our bread and water. Say a prayer for our troops and their families. Webhead Weber |

Dave "Webhead" Weber, Location: Pembroke Pines, FL Comments: Another beautiful show in Paradise. Attended the Miramar show on Sunday, another Jumpin Jack whopper of a show. The City of Miramar and its supporting sponsors made everyone feel at home -- again. If you had children and did not attend or visit the show then shame on you. Everything was there to the family man or single person for that matter. The show competed with 3 (actually 4 other) highly advertised shows and still drew 75- 80 cars. A nice turnout considering everything going on. Scott was cracking us up all day long, I think his stomach ached from laughing so much. Thanks for laughs Scott. Jack and staff did a bang-up, thanks Jack. Can't wait for 2010. Webhead

There were about 170 cars at the show up about 10 from last year (which was the first year at the new location) and everyone seemed to have a great time. At the start of the show (6pm) over 200 cars had been parked with a long line still waiting to be parked. We met the young man from Puerto Rico that was awarded the wheelchair, what a great kid. What a cool wheelchair. The cars were some of the nicest that I've seen in a long time. The Pro's that came out for the D-G benefit should be congratulated for the time and effort put forth. There were so many helpers that it made the whole experience a pleasant one. Ford's parked with Ford's, 'Vettes with 'Vettes, Mustangs with Mustangs, and so on. I cannot wait until next for the show to, the judges were great, and fair to all. Scott, would you please post that the Hooters Tuesday night Corvette only cruise night is still happening. Thanks to all that participated in last nights 1st Cruise Night after several years. 128 cars parked curbside on the Blvd. Every year, make, model of cars were represented, even some never seen before. We had beautiful weather, great restaurants, and plenty of stores to shop at. Join us for the next one: Wednesday Nov 19, 2008 6-9 pm....and it's free! Scott, thank you again for some great music !!! Name: "Webhead" (Dave Weber) Comments: Took a ride down to the Las Olas cruise Wednesday evening for a look see. Man was I surprised by the turnout of great cars. There were people directing traffic and assisting us in parking, smiling and chatting with us. A very pleasant experience indeed. Scott was doing his usual fantastic job (if you can it that, more of a love) playing a tremendous collection of songs that kept all of us happy. All in all it was a nice night out. The weather cooperated and the breeze was splendid. This is something that would be a welcome event to all. Thanks for reading this Webhead |

Name: Jason Miller Comments: Scott, Awesome coverage of the show! Great to have a website with photos to keep up to date on what's going on in the car show world. When you get a chance, check out www.christianrodders.org specifically the Hot Rod Camp tab. We are organizing a camp for Florida next year! I will send you a video so you can see last year's camp and conference building a pickup and this year two 32 roadsters (one old school and one modern) which debuted at Columbus - Goodguys. See you Sunday! Jason, it was a real pleasure to meet you, and REALLY GREAT talking with you at the show! I particularly look forward to seeing more from your great group, the 'Christian Rodders & Racers Assoc'. It's great to be able to mix your faith with such a good hobby. I encourage anyone interested to click the website, learn more, and maybe even become involved! God Bless! |

We attended the 4th annual open car show at the South Florida Tattoo Expo today (Sun.) Scott you did one heck of a job keeping the music going and keeping everyone cool on such a hot day. lol. Steve Schwartz you put on another great show and I commend you both. I just want to say to everyone and including the participants who brought out all their beautiful cars your such a great bunch of people and have a great family going. You guys and gals are such a class act. Alot of you we haven't met but associate your face with your car. We try to go to as many as we can. And after being out of the loop for awhile we can see what were missing. It stands out. Great Fun, Great people. You guys and gals stand alone to none. Having fun with great people and helping charities it doesn't get any better than that. Alicia Robert Chris |

Comments: On August 3rd, 2008 I attended my first show as Club President of Breathless Performance Corvette Club and let me say that it was AWESOME! The comradery was great, the music was invigorating, and being there on-site, was a must see event that couldn’t be matched. Scott the Music Man made sure we left completely entertained! Our host Russ G was most thoughtful to our needs. My advice to all is looking on the upcoming show lists, find out when they are going to be and attend them. Every weekend hundreds of car lovers pull their prized possessions out of the garage and head to parking lots from dusk till dawn rain or shine, 52-weeks a year, this loose-knit community comes together to celebrate cars. Show your passion and excitement that so many in Southern Florida have for vintage/exotic/performance cars. |

Name: Dave Weber Comments: Attended the World Ford cars of the world show Sunday. 150+ cars ventured out in the sun and heat to participate in the 1st ever show at World Ford. There must have been 60 Mustangs and 60 Corvettes there. If only we had a dragstrip close by !!!!!! Scott wowed us again with his magical tunes, reminding us all of our younger days. I have to say a special note of thanks to the people at Breathless Perfomance. They invited me to join their group without hesitation, not like the other [ ] clubs that only told me not to park with their clubs cars. Thank you to Scott and Mickey from BP, you so inspired me that I joined your club. Even my friend with a Mustang was impressed on how your club treated both of us. Thank you again. |

Mike Vitetta Comments: A number of Model “A” Ford owners around the world have come together and declared Saturday, July 26, 2008 as INTERNATIONAL MODEL “A” DAY. This first year, it is coincidental with the eightieth year of the Model “A” Ford’s first model in 1928. There is a contingency plan for a local rain event date of Sunday, July 27. To celebrate the day and their car’s eightieth birthday, thousands of Model “A” Ford Restorers and Preservers will be taking their cars out for a drive, and to socialize with other Model “A” enthusiasts. The specific activities will be determined by each local group, found in all fifty states and about thirty other countries. Some groups will be driving to picnics; others will participate in car shows and contests to help celebrate the day. Our group has coordinated their activities with two Ford dealers, both of which will help support the day’s activities. We will be meeting @ 9:00AM at Maroone Ford of Ft. Lauderdale, 1333 N Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale (across the street from Bayview Cadillac) and leaving about 12:30PM heading north on US 1. At the same time a group will be meeting @ Maroone Ford @ N.E. corner of Linton & I-95 in Delray @ 8:30am and leaving about 12:30PM and they will head south on US1. Both groups are meeting @ 1:00-1:30PM @ Pompano/Mercury/Lincoln/Ford on 28th Street & West side of Federal Highway in Pompano Beach. We will be leaving there 3:30-4:00PM. If you have a Model A and wish to join us you are welcome to do so. Thank you very much. Very truly yours, Michael J. Vitetta Coordinator Name: Dave "Webhead" Weber Comments This probably will not be printed because it contains negative feedback, but at least Scott will be the judge, jury and executioner. I attended the Lauderdale by the Sea show on July 4th. I think for the 1st show there it was run okay. Many things can improve for next year, like help for Russ. If help was there it was hiding, Russ was pulled from entrance to entrance by people like me trying to find out where to enter, where to park, etc. Next year will be better. Now all Russ has to do is get some help to make it run smoother. I was parked in between Scott's sound system and the band playing in the tent. Who thought up that one? It took away from the super job that Scott always does. Thank you for allowing me to vent here. There is obviously a lot to putting on a good show...and Russ and the city certainly did a GREAT job for a 1st show! Your helpful suggestions are welcome... Thanks for the input Dave. Name: Russ G Comments: "Now that the smoke has cleared"... by Russ G. A heartfelt thanks from Dick B and myself to all that attended the record breaking Festival Car Show in the record breaking heat. There were well over 750+ cars, including many that decided to enter through the rear entrance behind the mall, to bypass the registration fee, once the word was out....it was a free for all. Nice guys huh !! Because of the many complaints of parking and judging from last year's show (610+)cars, we decided this year to assign parking spaces (Dick B and myself worked till Midnight the night before chalking every space in the lot) and go to a point type judging system to make it fair for all cars entered. The problem began in the early AM when cars decided to park in spaces other than the ones they were assigned to (either to park under that one tree for shade, or to park with their friends, or another club. By late morning as hundreds of cars came in........you can imagine the tempers flaring when their assigned spot was taken. I tried with much difficulty to calm the situation.....but in the end....it was impossible. Because of this, the judges had much difficulty finding all the cars in a particular class to judge because they were scattered all over. The outcome.....late trophy presentation with not all cars receiving their awards. Since the show, (matter of fact that same evening), I have been receiving hate mail via the net, phone messages left on my machine with vulgar language, threats and even one person wanting to boycott all my shows. It cost over $50,000.00 to produce the show, for a Registration fee of $20.00 everyone received: Breakfast-Value $5.00, Hat-Value $10.00, T-Shirt-Value $10.00, Food Voucher-Value $10.00, Festival Dollars-$25.00.... Total $60.00! Music-Cars-Friendship... Priceless !!!!!! My Dear Friends.. join me for one movement, close your eyes....and just imagine if.....there were NO MORE CAR SHOWS OR CRUISE NIGHTS...... Life is to short ! In the last several years we have lost so many of our dear car friends......our car family....it is a good family.....let us all think of one another as family....and take care of each other...as family !!!! The judging sheets from the festival show are being processed....many of you won trophies. The winners will be announced on Scott's Website (Thank you! Scott !!!) Trophies and the Cash awards can be picked up at the Festival Mall office. Dick B and myself are in the process of making changes for our December 7th show. I welcome any input that some of you might have on the show.. please contact me. To all those that were unhappy with this show (you know who you are) The December 7, 2008 Festival Flea Market Mall Show will go on......with or without you !!!
Thank You! and God Bless ! -Russ G

Name: LARRY Comments: Hi Scott, let me start of saying the “Music-Man” came through again at the Festival-Show … you really can spin them songs man. Scott I just read your comments on the festival show and I’m 100% with you it was absolutely a INCREDIBLE show. I hung out all day with the “Just-Us” car club we had a blast. The canopies were set up generator to power the fans, cold drinks, folding chairs and great company. JR and wife schooled me on antique cars, Anthony was educating my on models and years of classics, Big AL with those special cold drinks…. in his trunk, Gino, Mercy, Evelyn, Jr & wife, John hard - @__ Hardisson and I walk around harassing everyone we knew and tried to see all 700+ cars but don’t think we got to them all. In all it was good times I don’t want to get into the judging or car parking because it’s obvious 700+ cars is no easy task. Dick and Russ were outstanding from my point of view 700+ classic cars wow. That’s my 2 cents my thanks to all I shared the day with you know who you are and Russ, Dick and Scott thank you…see you next show! |

Name: Sal DeBellis Comments: Hello Scott, Just want to say I had a great time at the Festval show! As I write this I speak for myself, but others may feel the same way I do.It is a great achievement on Russ's end to pull off and organize such a large car show, his intentions are so that everybody there has a good time, and most of us did do that. I believe that if you go to these shows just to win a trophy you will be disapointed, first of all you arrive in YOUR trophy and you leave in YOUR trophy! If everybody got a trophy someone would complain about something else! Look Man just go to the show and have fun! Maybe Russ should stop giving out trophys and just give everybody a plaque or something for being in such a large show. I think the look on the faces of the people walking by your car and stopping to say WOW! is better than any trophy! As I see it, all the cars have the best paint.. the best engines..the best interior and so forth. Everybody needs to lighten up and have some DAM fun! Life is to short! Lets all be thankfull for what we have, not what we dont have! Sal |

Name: Ralph Kroehle Comments: Dick, Russ and Scott, Just a quick note to let you know what a great time the show was once again. The pre-registration was a great idea and the thought was obvious to organize the clubs and classes toward making everyone happy. It was an effort toward some degree of ease in judging and concluding in a timely fashion. We pre-registered and had a spot assigned but upon arrival were told that it had been taken. We didn't think much of it until it became obvious that the judging was going to be a major undertaking for the sheer numbers of cars. I couldn't believe the total outrage that resulted! For anyone to get that worked up over a parking space or, much less a trophy is ludicrous. Don't get me wrong as I take great pride in my car but, it's a hobby! Like most of us, I enjoy showing the car off but, I'm not going to lose my sanity over such triviality. I have enough of a temper that I usually expel (as all 12 year olds do) in my work and generally won't in my leisure. I enjoy the people we meet, the music, the cars, trucks and bikes (although, not especially the heat) at all the shows and hope to continue till some nut shoots me for a parking space (or trophy). Again, we had a great time and this brief posting is to let you know that we deeply appreciate the effort towards improving the show and hopefully, the next show will be an even greater success on the hope that all will honor the "honor system". Many Thanks and Best Regards, Ralph Kroehle |

Name: Russ Gagliano Comments: Dear Car Friends, 10 days ago, many of you attended my Cancer Benefit Car Show at the new Frank & Patties Restaurant in Sunrise. It was a hot day ! not only from the heat of the Sun, but from the overwhelming financial support of you, the car owners. Over $5,000.00 was raised to help battle this illness, that has affected many of our close friends and families. The owner of the restaurant Bruce Horner (that many of you met at the show) contacted me to produce the show for him. He told me that his Wife Debra was suffering from cancer, and that he wanted all proceeds that day to be donated to the Cancer Society. I naturally agreed, as my Wife is also battling this killer illness. My dear friends, Mrs. Debra Horner has lost her battle, and has recently passed on. One of her last wishes was to see her Restaurant open and surrounded by Classic Cars. Thank you all from my heart, for making her wishes come true. Our prayers are with you Bruce. Frank & Patties is located at 3800 University Drive, Sunrise, FL, just North of Oakland Park Blvd. Russ G |

Name: Dave "Webhead" Weber Comments: Entered the Cooper City Show this past Saturday. Nice to see Scott the Music Man spinning the tunes, of course he did a superb job. Plenty of cars in attendance, some outstanding beauties that I'd never seen before. All in all it was a fun day to sit in the sun and have a hot dog and a soda. Looking forward to 2009. Went to the Dania Beach Cruise Night right after the Cooper City
Show. We decided to have a bite to eat at the hot dog stand instead of
the restaurant on the pier,(which is overpriced and the service is
poor). |

Saturday's night cruise at Ocean's 11 saw perfect beach weather and attracted over 50 great cars, some having never been shown in our area before. Special thanks to our car friends from Miami & Hialeah who attended to help raise awareness and financial support for ALS. Sunday's benefit car show in Margate for the Elks Lodge, to raise money for children's charities, had a total of 107 great cars, coming from Hialeah to the South, and Lantana to the North. It was a perfect (hot) day.. and a great time was had by all. A very special Thank You ! to Scott and his music for 2 great shows !!!!! On Sunday May 4th, I will be holding a benefit car show at Frank & Patties Restaurant in Sunrise , Florida for Cancer. I passionately invite all of you to attend and support this terrible illness that has affected our families and friends. Please check Scott's website for show information. Thank you again !!! Name: Jason Dennis (Jay) Comments: I apologize! I really didn’t mean it! As many may know I do like to experience the 402 horses under the hood of my 1934 Ford Phaeton (that is why I buy the cheep tires). At the same time I do know that, while leaving a show, it is “definitely” NOT the time to burn rubber. I do know that it shows irreverence to the promoters, sponsors and property owners involved. Not to say, that usually there is police at most of the shows in attendance or for control purposes. That said: I must admit, that while leaving the Elks show at the Chevy Chase center in Margate last Sunday, I left half my tire melted and laying on the exit to the parking lot. Again I genuinely apologize; I meant no harm or disrespect towards anyone. I love attending these shows and wouldn’t intentionally do anything to jeopardize that in any manner. My defense; When building my car they kinda had a “oh crap” moment. They install the brake pedal then installed the accelerator against the tranny tunnel and had plenty of room for both until they went to install the steering column. That is when they said “OH CRAP, THE BRAKE PEDAL IS WHERE THE COLUMN SHOULD GO THROUGH THE FLOOR”! So in their infinite wisdom they surmised that they would cut off the pedal and weld it offset of the actuator shaft going to the brake cylinder. This solution seemed plausible until it was done and was flabbergasted to find that you literally had to wedge your foot between the brake pedal shaft and tunnel. I have dealt with this for years and had adjusted to it. At least I thought I had adjusted to it, because as I left the show Sunday I unthinkingly had my foot to high on the accelerator and I unknowingly wedged my fat foot between and when I pulled back my foot literally came out of my Boat Docker’s slip on shoe, and with the added factor of turning, allowing the tires to break friction and I left a strip on the road as well as leaving a strip in my shorts. Luckily, I managed to kick the shoe off the pedal before customizing the rear of a red 66ish Mustang that was ahead of me. Again I profoundly apologize to Russ, Scott, The Elks, the people of Chevy Chase center, along with everyone else involved at the car show. Jay, your "defense" gave me a good chuckle...but I believe you! I've actually been in your shoes (no pun intended)...so I can relate! An unknown broken motor mount once left me spinning circles in the middle of an intersection. Knowing you are an honest car guy, and in no way would jeopardize any show (intentionally)...you are (at least as far as I am concerned) forgiven! It was a pretty decent burnout! Thanks for "owning up" to what happened...I'm glad you didn't have to explain that one to the cops! LOL! |

Name: "Webhead" Dave Weber Comments: Reading Jay's e-mail got me to remember when I was going to back my daughters T-bird out of the driveway. I had back surgery and my right foot wasn't working too well, so I got in the car, put it in reverse and proceeded to spin the tires the entire 70 foot length of my driveway, out into the street and almost hit my neighbors truck in his driveway. I never realized that my foot was on the gas until the ride was done. It was sure scarey at the time, but we all had a good laugh, and still do even to this day. The hard part was getting those 2 thick black tire marks off of the concrete driveway. Thanks for bringing back some funny moments. |

I really needed a Beach Boys "fix", and it hit the spot. I'm checking out your site for the first time, its real cool, and has lots of info on up comming shows and events, and the big surprize is that it is current. No more chasing those shows that are no longer running. Looks like I will be making some road trips, see you on one soon, Sal and Pirjo Perna Thanks for the kind words...I'm glad you "found" us! See you at the next show... |

Name: Scott Argow Comments: Scott, great show good giveaways we loved the hot dogs and beverages that were supplied all day. My family had a great time and it was nice to see old friends and make some new ones. Next time how about more classes in order to keep from the same people winning. I don't know how you can put an 1984-2008 Corvette in only 2 classes, how about by generation. Again great job, see you on Friday's and at the ocean's 11 show. |

Name: Tom Atk Comments: There was another gentelman taking pictures at the Cheetah adult club car show. Most of his pictures included dancers from the club poseing with the cars. would you or anyone else happen to know where I can view the picture, I know how to purchase and view the fotos from the official Cruising sites. This guy had a white hat and gray hair in a pony tail, black t-shirt and blue jeans. It might have said excite magazine or something like that on his shirt. We paid for some dancers to pose with our vihicle and he was also taking pictures at the same time. Just would like to see these pictures to see if there are any better. I've attended the Mustang supply, Mopar nationals, The Cheetahs and almost every friday at sr-84 and university so please help me if you could. Thanks in advance |

Hello Scott!
My name is Randy Fieler. I am the parts
manager at South Dade Dodge in Miami. The dealer owner has put me on a
quest to try to find a local Mopar club or such to put on a Show at
our dealership. At this point it would not be a trophy winning event
more of like a "show off show". We would section off a part of our
sales lot to allow space for the show cars. We would also supply food
& drinks (hot dogs, burgers, chips, sodas & water). The idea would be
to have it like a friendly monthly or ever other month gathering, a
place for friends and family to go and show off their
(Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Jeep/AMC) cars and hang out in our great
South Florida weather. I can see from the Cruisin South Florida web
site that your shows are typically large scale and they look great!
Perhaps you could help or point me in the
direction of someone who could.

Name: racer Comments: Hi scott, i would love to see some pictures of the girl with the checker bikini, that girl was lookin so fine as f!@! thanks Dear "Mr Racer": I am sorry to say...I was unable to get any "quality" shots of "the girl in the checker bikini", or any quality shots from most of the show, from my location behind the stage. This was my best shot of your "checker bikini" girl (on left). As you can see... many in the crowd had a pretty good viewing position... (photo right) > |
