14 year old Pembroke Pines student Frank Vitetta was awarded a 1931 Ford Model A Victoria automobile to restore by the two National Model A Ford clubs, MARC and MAFCA with assistance of the International Model A Ford Victoria Association.
There is a new program this year sponsored by the Model A Restorers Club (MARC) and the Model A ford Club of America (MAFCA). The two national Ford Model A clubs, in order to bring the Old Car Hobby to the next generation are giving a Model A to a youth member to restore.
The youth member sends in to the committee their reasons for why they feel they deserve the car along with other documentation as to the applicants character, the committee chooses who will receive the car.
After pouring through letters from old car club members, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks club and other organizations, as well as documentation of his assistance in car judging, and being in national calendars, Frank Vitetta, 14 years old, of Pembroke Pines has received a 1931 Ford Model A Victoria for him to restore.
The car will was awarded at the World Model A Ford meet in Dallas at the end of June.
All that know Frank wish him luck with the rare opportunity.
Congratulations Frank!
