The Susan B Anthony Recovery Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in South Florida. SBARC provides a warm and caring environment for homeless and/or substance-addicted women and their children. These mothers arrive at the center impaired in their ability to take adequate care of themselves and their children due to the overwhelming stress from the consequences of homelessness and/or the disease of addiction (poverty, involvement with the criminal justice system, etc).

I am forever grateful for the center and for the work that they continue to due for the women and children of Broward County. SBARC is the only facility in the county that allows the children to reside with the mother during her treatment, thus keeping the child out of the foster care system.
The center is funded by donations and the prolonged recession has drastically reduced their dollars, thus drastically reducing the number of mom’s and children that they can assist.

Come and Join us for our First "Stop the Cylce" Motorcycle Poker Run Fundraiser

to Benefit the Susan B Anthony Recovery Center

Starting at Trattoria Bella Cibo  8:30 am for breakfast

Trattroria Bella Cibo    5801 Margate Blvd  Margate, Florida

$20.00 for one Rider (includes breakfast)  $10 for passenger

 

“Stop the Cycle Poker Run” on Saturday, August 1, 2010 to raise funds for this organization. My goal is to raise $10,000 for the center.
The proposed event time line is (not all locations are confirmed)

• 9am 1st stop- Bella Cibo Restaurant-

• 2nd stop-Blue Fish Café

• 3rd stop-Bruce Rossmeyers Sunrise Harley Davidson

• 4th stop- Bru’s Room

• 4pm 5th Stop Mugshots Bar & Grill

The event will start and end in the City of Margate. The end will be at State Road 7 and Margate Blvd. in the parking lot of Mugshots Bar & Grill. We are also looking for Vendors and Entertainment for the final stop at the Checy Chase parking lot 1047 N. ST. RD. 7.

The success of the fundraising efforts depends greatly on the support of our business community. We are counting on your participation by providing a cash donation or donation of a raffle item (Ex. Gift Certificates, gift baskets, dinner, and/or hotel stay, etc.) Your contribution will be used as an advertising tool to promote your business to the many guests expected to attend.
